vonrottes
Ordering HPtuner for my truck as soon as my paycheck posted and I just figured I'd ask yet another stupid question on here.... Anyways, I've been playing around with the VCM suite in demo mode figuring out the actual program and comparing stock tunes... I've found the 2004 SSR (with a 5.3) looks to be slightly more aggressive than say a silverado tune. Now here is the stupid question. to use as a starting point for street tuning, would I just flash the SSR OS to my PCM, or copy over the tables I want to the 1999 Silverado 4.8 OS currently on my pcm? Reading other write ups on LS swaps I've seen mention of people running the Corvette OS on their 5.3 with a cam?
unfunnyryan
HP toner is overpriced, get the off brands.
aussiek2000
You would copy and paste the table you want from the SSR file to the truck.
Cordell
Using HPtuners just to copy and paste files is a waste of money, learn to tune it properly and it won't matter what you start with.
