Rocky31186
Hey I know there are some computer experts on here. Trying to put a .bin file onto a micro SD card to update the firmware of a camera. I downloaded the .bin, you are supposed to simply copy and paste the .bin file into the memory card. It will act like it is pasting but nothing shows up when it is done. I formatted the card, there is nothing on there. I can paste other items to the card but not this .bin file. http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy296/rocky31186/file_zpsvfty66ub.jpg
jeffro
Are you seeing nothing on windows? You need to tell windows to show certain file extensions to see it in explorer. File and Folder Options > show hidden extensions + show system files (something like that, on a mac ATM so cannot give you exact directions) Try updating the camera even though you cannot see it in windows explorer. Rocky31186
I tried updating it even though I didn't see the file and it did not work, I tried looking for the hidden extensions but didn't see any options for it yesterday
ImUrOBGYN
That's weird. You try another SD card? Or try making a copy of the file you rename and try to copy over; just to see if it'll work. If it does, you can always rename it. I feel like there's something in the back of my head... Nope, just won't come to the front. GL
