zeitgeist57
Looking simply for 2 15" steel wheels with a 5x5.5" bolt pattern for the front of my 1982 F100. I do not care about the style as I'll be putting full Moon wheelcovers on them. Truck actually came with a smaller bolt-pattern, but when I lowered the front end I replaced the factory I-beams with '87-'96 DJM dreambeams, which used the newer truck brakes. I used aluminum adapters to go from the bigger '87-'96 bolt pattern down to the factory '82 wheels...but the adapters are cheap and it's now loosening and snapping studs. Would rather swap my front tires onto the right bolt-pattern 15" steel wheels, smack on the covers, and be done with messing with the adapters. Please advise what ya got. Thank you! zeitgeist57
Bumping this back from the dead. I need to put 2 new winter tires on the front and these adapters have snapped a couple more studs. I GOTTA get rid of them (adapters). One option could be this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/80-86-87-88-89-90-91-FORD-F150-WHEEL-15X7-/290765326337?hash=item43b2f6c801:m:m4-YPFSbqHFgn7A_lQiBc4g&vxp=mtr ...but AGAIN, I really don't care what they look like as long as they are straight, true, and can hold air on a tire bead.
