In an already cramped space why turn extra interior storage space into useless outside space. It needs a fastback style rear window. that being said it's pretty good looking. not sure why they couldn't just make a fixed hardtop to compliment their roadster, but eh...z4 and SLK have a retractable hard top and they are gunning for people who cross shop those cars to move upscale in the market. Looks like the targa top will take up the same space as a the soft top when down. It's not like Mazda to spend money on tooling etc. to make major changes.
