Zx2guy19
Anyone on here build websites? I need something very basic, similar to this: http://johnbuyshousesohio.com/ Once someone builds, do I then host it? Recommendation for that? I was thinking something simple and cheap like Go Daddy. As you can see, that site isn't very complex.

Lauren
My computer knowledge is trolling forums and checking email. No more no less. I built mine on godaddy and host with them and I have gotten lots of compliments on it. If I can make a site anyone can
cstmg8
So is WordPress useful for an actual website, or just writing a blog? Does it have templates for things like calendars with clickable links?
jeffro
So is WordPress useful for an actual website, or just writing a blog? Does it have templates for things like calendars with clickable links? There are an endless amount of templates, themes and plugins you can install all with like 3 clicks. There are both free and paid plugins. Ill PM you a link to the website that i manage at work. It is a wordpress website.
87GT
Wordpress seems to be the most popular format right now. Honestly I think negatively about the company when I see one. To each their own. One of my best friend's builds, maintains, and even sells server space for companies. He can even setup a store and accept payments if you are looking into that. PM me if you want the details. unfunnyryan
Meh, never had any issues with them. And theyre cheap. They'll poach your domains and sell them back to you at 10x the price if you ever forget to pay for it. Also the CEO is a fuck that hunts endangered animals. So is WordPress useful for an actual website, or just writing a blog? Does it have templates for things like calendars with clickable links? Wordpress is super flexible with free templates and plugins. The site OP linked could be made in wordpress. I run a rental properties site for my dad on Wordpress.
