BStowers023
So my transmission just went out on my way to work (I think). I get free towing through geico so I called them but they made me pick a place to take it while I was on the phone with them. I told them Acura of Columbus because I wasn't sure where else. I highly doubt I'll keep it there because stealership but what I'm wanting to know is if any of you have any recommendations for a place that does good, cheap transmission work. Thanks. Gergwheel1647545492
what year TL? If its an 03 this is very common. I'd recommend M&D Transmission in Delaware.
BStowers023
04. I'm a little concerned about the towing cost to Delaware? The car will be in Dublin so I guess it's not too far actually

BStowers023
So the tech said it could be the axle without fully diagnosing it which is what I'm hoping for.

BStowers023
Ended up just being the left front axle. Stealership quoted me $1475... another local shop quoted me $280 :dumb:
noobiemcnooberson.
That's pretty ridiculous for an Acura axle I just did a tl axle oem Acura from r a guy and I wanna say it was less than 200 for the part. Obviously not all acuras are equal but they made a shit ton of tls and they all came v6 and very few were manual.
ItzaME
That's some garbage, similar situation with an 03 TL-S we have. We shall see what it turns out to be but tranny CEL came on so probably going to need to swap it..

Dharris89
I replaced both axles on my 99TL. They were not bad. The fork was just rusted on mine to it took some pervading. I bought mine from either AZ or Advance and it was under $100. You just need to rent the big axel socket too.
