stavman
I think most of it comes from the aviation industry. He was in the air guard and developed it originally for the curves of the planes and dropping tools off them all the time.
KentStateTsi
Would he mind if I kick it around the Blackhawk community? Maybe forward it to AMCOM if he is interested in a possible contract?
stavman
I don't think he will, he's had it all over the military in the USA. Some bases have proto's. I think a contract with Boeing or the military and he'd be set. He was trying to get it in some manual where its a requirement to have one while working on the jets to help prevent FOD damage. zeitgeist57
I saw this product through Business First last week. Sounds like he's getting great press! Good luck to the guy!
BStowers023
Yeah he'll hit the jackpot with a government contract. Cool product for sure.
Turbs3000
A magnetized version of that would be so slick
stavman
He's thought about putting magnets inside the mold as well.
Smokey
Ordered a Medium. I think it'll be great for working under the car. Cool idea by your friend.
stavman
Quick Update: Tom Burden So NASA called and said that they ordered a single Grypmat (the original product) and it passed their chemical/durability testing and now they are ordering a sample set to see if it is something they want to implement into their mechanics work flow, said that there has been a lot of buz about the product and it looks very promising! They also made an order on the Kickstarter for the new sizes!

verse
Genius idea. I wonder what their wholesale pricing would be at, seems like it wouldn't cost much per unit in cost, the small would be awesome to put in our PetrolBox. stavman
Verse do you run the petrolbox? That's awesome. I've never seen that before. I would email him via the kickstarter and ask. Its advertising for him as well see what he says.
