I'm not clicking on that, but there's been a bunch of retarded little vw bug pickups on craigslist recently. Like, with the engine in the back and no usable bed at all. Because the engine is back there. LOL at paying $10k for one of those things.

Now you don't have to be in this thread all by yourself.

I like that names. With all the PC BS nowadays they would never be able to have some of those.

Oh yeah? Which ones? Other than Honcho I don't really see anything that would be offensive. unpopular sure, but offensive? Not really.

By the way if you thought the Indy widebody GM was cool the 1980 gmc Indy hauler is slightly cooler because screaming chickens make everything cooler:

I want one of these. Not as rare as the trucks in the link above, but it's a bad ass truck...

They are out there and worth the purchase, but good luck finding one that's not been raped pillaged and modified throughout its life. There aren't likely more than 900 left in the wild.

There's what may be a Skyranger? or lesser conversion on North st. in short north area. Some goofy lookin ranger with a convertible looking top, I've seen it parked there but never really took a good look aside from "wtf is that abomination?"

Kerry, no shit...you could make a lot of money compiling your obscure car knowledge into clickbait websites...

"Top 10 Japanese Motorcycles in the 70s...NUMBER 6 WILL BLOW YOUR MIND"

"What Shirley Muldowney and Linda Vaughn did at racetracks WILL SHOCK YOU."

I'm not even trying. We didn't even talk about the "diablo" el caminos or the macho power wagon and macho ramcharger (yes macho is part of the name like the macho trans ams that came in the late 70's).

Here is a fun fact the truck special editions really kind of started with Chevrolet when they started offering wild vinyl sticker kits for their trucks that the dealers could install. Feathers, flames, eagles, you name it. From there it kind of grew.

Did they really use "indianish" in the ad copy?:lol:

Aahh...those were the days [/archie bunker]

Now we get the Gender Neutral Native American Inspired Hugs and Kisses package in beige with pink pinstripes, only available in a hybrid model.

They also used "heady Paraphernalia", "Your dealer can help you get the stuff" and "Far out". It reads like ad copy written by a bunch of middle age gin soaked out of touch men who basically said "the way to reach youth culture is to make it sounds like we are selling them drugs because it's the 70's and drugs are hip."

since we are talking about interesting trucks, GMC and Chevy tried "Luxury Trucks" in the 1970's too with the Gentleman Jim (named after the movie), the Beau James, and the Amarillo GT Cowboy Cadillac. It was GM's attempt to make a pickup as nice as a Cadillac
