ICEMAN
Got the rear end finished up. I had to get the rear tire reinstalled bc it was leaking. Air box is on for good. That's a pita. Chain is on. Gotta get some front end work done including the front tire reinstalled bc of the same issue. Steering stem needs torqued as well. But for now she's lookin good!I'm routing some fuel lines from the carbs to make draining them a little easier.

ICEMAN
Hahaha. It'll be moving in the spring when I can get it out to ride it. Be done by summer.I do not want an aftermarket exhaust. I want it to be quiet. I hate the sound of old sport bikes with exhausts. You can tell it's an old sport bike bc they usually sound like shit. Only exhausts avaliable for this thing are drag style exhausts so they are loud as hell.
ICEMAN
I'll hopefully take it for a short spin up and down our road tomorrow If the rain stays away. Tank is lined and on.

ICEMAN
Here is a little update. i ordered an on/off to go in line to the carb from the petcock. This will give me a 100% OFF to the carb for winter storage and when the bike sits for more than a day. I want to mount it hard to the bike so when im coming down my road i can turn it off and run the carb dry as i pull it into the garage. This weekend i finally pulled the front end off to get the steering stem torqued down. I noticed last year that it was a cunt hair loose as i didnt do it 100% correctly and i know why, so its getting fixed. I love how there is a nut under the bottom triple that needs torqued but the "specialty tool" you "have to" buy is NOT anything that has a torque setting. LOL. Luckily its only inch/lbs so i can do that by hand and i have a inch/lb torque wrench to use as a feeler... My last second homemade bike stand. Every other time i had the front end off, the engine wasnt in the bike so this was a BIG difference, lol. Works perfect and ill definitely keep it around The Mustang has a brake fluid leak in the front passenger and the wheels are off to be cleaned and i need to clean inside the wheel wells and the suspension. ICEMAN
Finally got the steering stem tightened. Its stupid that there is a torque setting for the nut under the steering stem when the specialty tool they tell you to use to tighten the nut, cant be torqued. Its basically a spanner wrench. Well, it only needed to be tightened down to 43 in/lbs so i drew up a socket and printed it. worked like a charm!!
Ziggy
"Printed up a tool..." That's frickin' awesome!
ICEMAN
I love the machine!! We've had it for 5 years and are about to upgrade to a $150,000 printer!!! I can print even cooler things!!!!
ICEMAN
done some work to it... Got the fuel tank line all finished with a 2nd petcock as the original is slightly leaking when OFF. Rebuilt it but the knob is corroded on the inside so it didnt fix it 100%. Also got the Petcock faceplate shiny and painted the text. Thats it for now. Its all in the details. Im also working on putting all my bike images on an upload site so they links wont break like they did recently from FaceBook.

max power
So is it shifting well?
ICEMAN
Yes. The motor, tranny, and everything work great. I just need to make a sleeve where the shifter mounts. I have tried to print one on our 3D printer at work many times and its so thin, it doesnt work well with our printer. So for now i put the clip on the end to hold the shifter on, but it wiggles a hair so im taking it easy. Next up is mounting all the plastic i have and making sure all the lights work and work on getting the rest of the plastic.
max power
Good to hear. I would love to play with one of those printers one day.
