Paint Chip - Can I Fix This?

So I've had this good sized paint chip on the roof of my Contour since I bought it. I have no idea how it would have gotten there and it's really the only blemish on the car. I've never done any body work, but thought of maybe buying this kit and attempting to somewhat fix it myself. I realize it's not going to look perfect, but anything has got to be better than what it looks like now:

Thoughts on how to do this myself?

I've got some Corroseal...that will neutralize the surface rust.

My suggestion (as this is what I'm doing to my Lincoln once out of storage):

1) wire-brush the rust/metal/flaking paint

2) Treat with rust converter

3) light Bondo

4) brush on primer

5) brush on Dr. ColorChip paint.

Yes, you'll notice the repairs, but if they are small, brushing eliminates the need to mask for overspray.

Thanks for the response. Is this ColorChip paint something I can find at Advance Auto?
