xlr8tn
Anyone know a place that does that and roughly how much it costs? I have a few tanks that I need done. Two 30's from the camper and a 40.
gillbot
Got a propane exchange place local? I take mine there and swap with them.
xlr8tn
Yeah...that's what I do when my 20's get old and Trac or supply will swap 30's but I know of no place that will swap a 40. I'm just thinking someone somewhere has to recertify tanks.
gillbot
Ask the propane fillers. They would have to know as well, if they can’t/won’t swap.
xlr8tn
there's a propane place out here I'm going to stop in and talk to......I usually fill my tanks at tractor supply because they're cheap and I've asked those guys. They had no idea. I'll go to surburban propane out here as they would probably know more than anyone. Just checking here to see if anyone has had it done or welder tanks recertified. I still have a year on the big tank to figure it out.
mmrmnhrm
SCUBA shops are also likely to have an answer. Even though they're (usually) working with regular air, their tanks also have to go through the re-cert process every couple years.
