morabu
Wife and I are going to Vegas in 2 weeks and are looking for fun things to do. Experiences of good or bad attractions are a huge help. I have no interest in Gambling. Going for shows and things to see or do nearby. i.e Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West Rim Skywalk, Shows in Vegas. Would like to drive on some fun sand dunes somewhere. Awesome sights within a couple hours drive? I appreciate all the info!

STEVE-O
Obviously the expensive higher end restaurants are easy to find and have good food, For a “break” from the Vegas like feel there is a good brunch at the mandarin oriental, or also check out Todd English pub for nice food and beers

Geeto67
Don't go to the Pawn Stars place unless you like disappointment and telemarking calls for 3 weeks afterwards. I will say, if you collect toys, there is a really great, but small, vintage toy store down the block that will knock back some nostalgia. I was able to fill in some holes in my matchbox/hotwheels collections that I couldn't find easily online. Here is what I did years ago. Me and two friends rented motorcycles and rode out the first day to Red Rock Canyon. We spent the whole day riding around the park and taking pictures and hiking a little bit. The park road is nice and twisty and there are a lot of interesting things to see. The next day we rode out to hoover dam which wasn't as fun a ride as Red Rock, but was still great. We did it on hardtail choppers but I betcha two up on a road king or an electra glide would rock. The other thing we did was my buddy wanted to fire a browning .50 cal and the other one wanted to fire a fully automatic weapon. I can't remember the place we went to do that (it's been a little less than 10 years) but Blow it Up vegas, machine gun vegas, and Battlefield vegas will accommodate those things. Finally another friend of mine did a dune buggy tour through sunbuggy Las Vegas and wouldn't shut up about it for a month after. I think he did the buggy chase where you just all go out into the dessert at full throttle.
coltboostin
I can give you ideas for hours on this. Went there every year for SEMA for 10 years straight, multiple Bros trips, Multiple wife/family trips. If you have questions shoot me a PM, but here is a cliff notes for a 2 week trip. **NOTE** My actual suggests depend greatly on your length of stay** 1) If your there for 2 weeks Plan a trip OUT of Vegas for a few days. Your too close to San Diego/LA to not check it out while your there if you've never been to the west coast. Quick 4-5 hour drive either. Pick one-get to the coast. Do 3 day 2 nights 2) Shows- do your research. See what you WANT to see, no what some discount ticket guy sells you. If the tickets are cheap or free, the show likely sucks. All the Cirque shows are at least good- some are epic. The KA stage is mind blowing. ONE is very, very cool. Mystère is cool if you like the Circus. O is next level. Take your pick. I would also recommend you see one big name Comedy or Magic show to get the full "Vegas experience" 3)Car/bike Rental. Again, up to you and your desires. Rent a bike only if its 60+ otherwise you will be too cold to enjoy. Rent a Camaro or Mustang vert at a minimum. Vegas Experience at the track is great- better than all the lambo "rent and follow the leader" rentals IMO 4) Hiking- If your into it and in OK shape- you have to do Red Rock and if you have time Mt Charleston. At minimum, Drive Red Rock (note- gets very cold and Windy at night during the fall/winter). If your really into hiking- just plana FULL DAY or DAY + to Zion. It will be the most epic shit you will see in the USA 5) Food. So much good food. To much to list- just point and click. My one MUST DO for the full "Vegas experience" is the Top of the World at the Stratosphere. Always, always had great food and service and one of the Best dining views in the Country. Truly unique especience. Get there early and grab a cock tail int he lounge 6) Clubs- Its Vegas. Live a little! Just find a promoter get a free pass and a drink ticket and go one of the Mega Clubs on an off night for free. I'd say a pool party is a Must if your going in summer, but you may not be ready for that I can go on for days here, but I'll leave it at that **EDIT** I misread your post- that your going IN to weeks, not for 2 weeks LOL. But fuck it, I'll leave my list for future searches
kirks5oh
https://digthisvegas.com/ I did that for my 40th birthday, and can attest to the fact that it is, indeed, awesome. wife and I go to vegas at least once a year for a weekend of fun, and I don't gamble. I love the atmosphere/food at the cosmopolitan. stk is an awesome steakhouse. if you have thick skin, and want to see an awesome show, I highly recommend the show "absence". pay extra, and sit in the front row--just prepare to be singled out and made fun of a little. the show is similar to a cirque show in some regards---crazy acrobatics right in front of you on an 8 foot round stage. the performers are half naked (mostly women), and stunts are amazing. in between each mini performance, there is the host of the show, performing an amazingly off color comedy routine---if you're in the front row, he will roast you hard, be prepared. its awesome though. well worth it. I've been twice, and each time sat in the front row.
verse
Pawn Stars is boring, waste of time in my opinion. Really just depends on what you like to do. The neon sign graveyard is pretty neat. In and Out Burger/Shake Shack just to try the hype. Walking around the mega strip hotels/casinos is fun. People watching at night on Fremont St. I wanted to rent an exotic and drive out to the Hoover Dam, maybe this year. I'm not a club or nightlife person so when I went for SEMA last year I didn't do any of that.
BStowers023
Peppermint Rhino Okay, in all seriousness. Tons of cool things to do in Vegas that don't involve gambling. The Grand Canyon, Helicopter tours, hiking trails, dune buggy rentals. Just walking the strip and people watching is a cool experience. Watching the Bellagio fountains with the music from Stepbrothers is a cool experience, too. This is pretty pricey but could be cool. https://exoticsracing.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIndTG5-Oe2gIVlrrACh1qAAT-EAAYASAAEgIEl_D_BwE
verse
Watching the Bellagio fountains with the music from Stepbrothers is a cool experience, too. Yeah this is neat. We had dinner at the french restaurant at the Paris hotel across the street and sat out on the patio in front of Bellagio. It was pretty sweet. 01sentrase2.0
Blueman group puts on an awesome show. Wax museum was cool. Even with not wanting to gamble, still go into the hotels. Going into old school downtown has a cool laser light show.
