JonS
My cousin (24) just finished college with two associate degrees and a couple of networking and server certs (Cisco/Windows).Anyone know in town who is hiring for these types of positions? He has decent work experience from where he went to school (Akron) and is a good kid.Any suggestions on where to kick his resume to?
progrmr
He should post his resume up on Dice.com and monster.com. Also I will PM you contact info for a head-hunter I know that works in the technology business. Not sure if he does network stuff, but worth a try. sleepyk
+1 on the "indeed" suggestion.Have him talk to Manpower's Porfessional division too. Very little effort on his part to have another set of eyes looking for him.

Strictly Street
My cousin (24) just finished college with two associate degrees and a couple of networking and server certs (Cisco/Windows).Anyone know in town who is hiring for these types of positions? He has decent work experience from where he went to school (Akron) and is a good kid.Any suggestions on where to kick his resume to?Anywhere and everywhere. IT ain't what it used to be. Until you have _real_ experience, your toast. Craigslist.com is a source many overlook. Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com have a few leads. Don't forget the job boards at the local unemployment office.Temp contract work is nice to get experience and a decent hourly wage even though it's short term work with no benefits, it is work. You get to work with real systems that really help build that resume, even if it is only a month long contract it still helps.Good luck to your cousin!
