gillbot
Just missed our house by about 10'. This is the 3rd close call from the neighbors property. The last one missed by less than 1'. He's been asked numerous times to trim some of these and he usually starts, does a couple then never returns.
RedRocket1647545505
I'm over the wind this year. My house is on the East side of a large field and just gets obliterated by 55mph gusts on the regular. I spent several hours the other day chasing polycarbonate panels from my new greenhouse all across the county.

spankis
Lost a big chunk of honey locust myself in the last windstorm, it's good firewood though. More wind again today I think.

gillbot
This is the 3rd overall. When we moved here we had over 30 trees removed all around the property. Some of the trees were so overgrown, they were actually touching the house. This was allowing wildlife easy access to the attic and whatnot. When we had all those removed, the trees behind them on an adjacent property are now exposed to the wind. Since they were sheltered before, they are all quite anemic and can't take the wind so they break easily. The property owner is aware and he was supposed to remove the ones that can reach our house. He started two summers ago but quit until the next broke. He then started again but quit until this one. We'll see if he takes action again or doesn't bother. I'm not too worried, that side is the garage side of the house so if one hits, it'll destroy my new side by side and viper.
