I am looking to add another toy to my CNC arsenal but need to decide between a Co2 or fiber laser. Fiber lasers are more of a one trick pony for stainless/aluminum/hard plastic engraving. It's a dying art. like this: that said I don't know what the market is like but there are few people doing it. most of the people I know who have engraving capabilities on their machines do it because they have to add a part number or serialize their parts for warranty.
