    metal signs

I usually just cut some kerfs on the bend line and bend it by hand. I'll weld it if required but not typical. Here is another pic after sanding/oiling: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1058&pictureid=9917

    metal signs

Yeah that was me. Send me a quick sketch or google "grandpas garage signs" or similar and send me an idea. I might be able to knock something out. I'll handle the car sketch and fit it in somewhere.

    Tint Places

Mike @ Road Ready Tint did my Model 3 yesterday. He was $450 for sides & rear. Performance Auto Spa was $600 for same tint. Tesla is more than most so you should be out for less. I also asked about fronts on a QX60 and was told $140.

    Smoker Wood

Does anyone know where to get a cord or two of some wood for an offset smoker? Cherry, hickory, oak, whatever. Derek? Thanks!
  5. Rocket stove searing thing I made a couple years ago. The base is 11ga steel and the grate is 1/4" stainless. It actually works pretty awesome for searing steaks, etc. The grate is about 12" x 12" Linworth/Snouffer area. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1058&pictureid=9680 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1058&pictureid=9679 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1058&pictureid=9678
  6. We had an electric heat pump. Our bill hit over $500/month in a 1500sqft ranch. Columbia ran the meter for free and hooked up to the existing gas lines in house. It dropped to ~$120 gas over similar months.
  7. Is there enough meat left or does it taper to the point where it doesn't glide freely? You could try this although I don't know how well it would adhere. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Richelieu-Actual-0-026-x-0-8125-x-25-White-Melamine-Veneer-Edging/1002555800

    Engraving

Is there any market out there for custom engraving? I am looking to add another toy to my CNC arsenal but need to decide between a Co2 or fiber laser. Fiber lasers are more of a one trick pony for stainless/aluminum/hard plastic engraving. A co2 would be more fun to play with as it does about everything else. Thoughts?
  9. Where would I put all the LEDs? Gotta add HP somewhere. The first (only) PC I built years ago has been opened zero times since. I have enough crap to tinker with. I don't want my PC to be one of those things. Hopefully..
  10. The motherboard will sit in the low in the "PC case" and be accessible from the thinner part of the desk. There will be another aluminum panel with cut outs for the various connections. The bottom of the thin part of desk will be hollow or 1/2" ply for strength with cable track. And obviously the USB hub is right in front. If that makes sense....
  11. Brass inserts in: Aluminum panels: Hub mounted: Carbon wrapped: Smoke break: Misc top fitting: This will be used mainly for Solidworks and probably MS Flight Sim 2020. Any tips, criticism, etc. welcome.
  12. I started to design a new desk a few months ago. My original plan was to build a few quick white cabinets with a slab on top. Somehow I came across PCs in desks and it snowballed from there. I don't know anything about computers but I have some tools Here is the initial sketch: A quick render: Laying out 8020 extrusion: Corners: Printing panel brackets. The closest thing I found to a panel mount was $7. These cost me $.07. Fan mount burnt out: USB Hub mount 3D print test:
  13. See title. The house is in Worthingview. It is mainly just patching, sealing and sanding. Thanks! http://i.imgur.com/dYtvu4H.jpg

    2005 Scion xB

I'm glad you mentioned the AC. Apparently I wasn't paying much attention. It just dawned on me that it was the water pump pulley I was looking at. I'll have to take another look tomorrow....

    2005 Scion xB

2005 Scion xB 263k Miles 5 spd manual. Engine replaced somewhere around 150k. I don't think it had an oil change in first 60k miles. Transmission replaced somewhere around there too. This was my daily beater for 200k miles. It just keeps going but I need to dump some vehicles. I replaced the alternator belt today. The AC pulley is now wobbling and I don't want to mess with it anymore. The AC doesn't work anyway, I would just put a shorter belt on it and bypass the pulley. The vehicle will start and run but will only get you as far as the battery will last. Located in Plain City near Costco, Lucore, etc. Ugly Runs good Ugly 5 spd Good cargo room. $800 Also, I need to dig up the title so I may need a few days to find it after moving..
  17. I'm in the same situation. Did you have any luck with this?
  18. .stl, 52mb. I'll PM you a link.
  19. I have a .stl file from a laser scan that I need converted to a solidworks part. Here is an idea of the scan http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1058&pictureid=9538 This is beyond my skill level. Thoughts?
  20. Located off Industrial Pkwy. Moving locations and don't want to deal with it. There is some stainless in there. The majority is 14ga carbon skeletons from plasma table.
  21. I have a big stack if you still need some. I'm around the corner from you.
  22. Here are most of mine. I am currently going through a slight garage reorganization. It's a mess in progress. Mostly just HF boxes and some cheap cabinets
