TwiztedRabbit
you do realize the jumper mod was supposed to be only for that model 636 05-06 zx-6r i dont know personally if the 07-08 which is back to a 599(600) can support this or not.. It comes up in alot of search engines in forums stating for "2008" I figured I'd reach out before I even begin to consider it.
TwiztedRabbit
yeah i dunno really but when you installed your 2bros you removed the exhaust shudder valve anyways?! so would that negate it ?
SteveChase
yeah i dunno really but when you installed your 2bros you removed the exhaust shudder valve anyways?! so would that negate it ?Jumper MOD is electronic. Suppose to switch ECU to Euro specs instead of AmericanI see where the valve may come into play, but I think it's an Air/Fuel mix...But, that's what I'm here to find out
SteveChase
Hell 9-10 HP jump by adding a wire????? I'm game!!!! As long as it doesnt screw up the bike.
TwiztedRabbit
and thats how i read it.. was the fact that it is Electronic but it controls the valve in the exhaust to lower the DB standards in the US by slightly closing the valve as it reaches higher RPM therefor creating more backpressure and killing the highend HP with no valve there is nothing to control making the top end hp as good as it gets
SteveChase
so the the slip-on should have given me that gain anyway?I'm feeling some Dyno time in the future...
TwiztedRabbit
if i am correct in the way that the jumper mod works.. yes, you should have. there is no point in telling the ECU that the valve is working when it isnt even connected.. blue03636
it is still used on the 07-08. I did mine, it did help. I know on the 07-08 they did not make any power above about 12000 rps, the jumper opens the exhaust valev up to it still makes power all the way up.
