I found out that I might be able to get around it by importing the database within a shell. I needed to brush up on my sql commands. I THINK I got it. I will find out tonight, when I get home.

At the mysql prompt, create the database, then source the sql file.

IE:

mysql> create database whateveryounamedit;

mysql> use database whateveryounamedit;

mysql> source c:/nameofdumpfile.sql;

You never want to do: mysql -u username -ppassword -h hostname databasename < nameofdumpfile.sql That will give you errors.
