The 5.4L supercharged engine that came stock in those cars is ALMOST identical to the drivetrain found in 03-04 cobra's, with the obvious difference's being the GT is a midship engine mounted and the trans is backwards. i think factory they came with 550-600 bhp, there is still a HUGE potential for modification to this drivetrain, including Twin snails. craziness.
