I'm not sure of the circumstances, and it sounds like alcohol was involved. But no less his family and the driver of the car could all use the thoughts.VANDALIA, Ohio -- One person died and another was taken by CareFlight in a crash in Vandalia Saturday morning.According to a release from Vandalia police, the crash occurred on Frost Road north of Old Springfield Road at 3:20 a.m.The car veered off the right side of the road, returned to the road, crossed the center line and slid off the left side of the road, the release stated. The car came to a rest after sliding broadside into a group of large trees.A 21-year-old occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and the other person in the car was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight with severe injuries.Police said they believe alcohol and excessive speed may have contributed to the crash.The crash is still under investigation by Vandalia police.
