natedogg624
I've given up. I can't get it to work for the life of me.-plugged/unplugged via usb to the computer-uninstalled and reinstalled remote/itunes/bonjour-restarted both computer and iphone-windows firewall off-no anti virus software that might have a secondary firewall- checked "find remote iphone" in itunes settings-double checked both are on the same wi-fi network.gives me the passcode on the iphone but in itunes it wont show up at all as a remote. shows up as the normal iphone device with music/movies/apps/etc but no remote icon to enter the passcode.iphone 3.0/itunes 9.0/windows xp. bambam
It shouldn't show up as a normal iPhone in iTunes unless you still have it plugged in via USB. When I set up the remote, it was connected only via wifi.
RSVDon
Correct. Both the phone and computer must be connected to the same wifi. Don't plug the phone in. When you go to sync the two it'll ask for the passcode, enter it and in a fewminutes you should be up and running.

RSVDon
Try to go in via iPhone again and hit add library. Then it should give ou the passcode. At the same time, make sure iTunes is up and running and connected to wifi. The passcode screen should pop up. Or is that the other way around?I'll test it when I get home because I need to resyncmine.

Are you on iTunes 7.7 or later and iPhone OS 2.0 or later?http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1947
