Is there a good way to automatically check what drivers are out of date and download on their own?

My computer keeps crashing on the sound card part of it I guess.

Every now and then it gets stuck in a dinging loop that goes on forever, then when you goto restart the dinging gets loader and faster.

microsoft update usually has the latest drivers for your hardware. as long as the sound card manufacture sent them to microsoft.

but that doesn't always mean that driver will work right. I've had a update to my soundcard that fucked it all up. so I just went back to the original driver.

you can also go in the device manager and click on your sound card and choose to update the driver.

if windows can find a newer driver it will install it.

thirdly, if you know the manufacture of your sound card(device manager will tell you) go to their site and see if they have one.
