NinjaNick
What a beast of a teenager! Holy shit! Sad that he never got to live his dream and life in general. Way too young. RIP.http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1070547http://ohiovarsity.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1070488 Edited April 3, 2010 by NinjaNick

natedogg624
what is a high school student doing in panama city? you can't drink yet, not even 18, not allowed in most if not all the clubs there, so what is there to do? Especially, when he's a top recruit with almost a guaranteed ticket to NFL. sad still

RIPwtf does "the rape rate" have to do with anything?what is a high school student doing in panama city? you can't drink yet, not even 18, not allowed in most if not all the clubs there, so what is there to do? Especially, when he's a top recruit with almost a guaranteed ticket to NFL. sad stillKids aren't allowed to go on spring break? Maybe he was there with his family and friends, or the friend's parents were chaperones. We go on vacation with other families that have kids and the kids come along. Could just hit the beach, have fun with your H.S. friends, a lot of whom you're not going to see much, if at all, after high school. No need to assume alcohol was involved - might have been, but we don't know yet. NinjaNick
what is a high school student doing in panama city? My thoughts too. Why would parents allow their 17yr old to go to Florida without them? Not good parenting in my opinion.

Paddy O Furniture
It was apparently an accident from what I have read from several sources; also mentioned in the rivals article linked above. The kids were fooling around and James lost his balance. I can't imagine watching one's best friend losing his life. Horrible...Update:Apparently James was drinking and went to the balcony to argue with people in the next room; he hung over the balcony and fell. There were supposedly chaperones there, but 40 underage kids drinking in a room sounds like something bad will happen. NinjaNick
He was too young to know how good he was going to have it; therefore, he threw it all away to get drunk and stupid at a young age where we have no control over our drunk emotions.
