  1. I have been seeing trojans and hijacks that change your web browser proxy settings to run through localhost in order to capture packets. Check your proxy settings in: Firefox -> http://www.wikihow.com/Enter-Proxy-Settings-in-Firefox. In IE -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135982 Most people don't use a proxy, so typically there should be no IP address entered in that field. Paddy
  2. How wide is that brush with which you are painting? I live in Powell and know that there are some jacktards there, but I wouldn't say there are any more there than any place else I have lived. Yuppy'O'Furniture =)
  3. Your Ohio driver abstract spans the previous two-year period. License Status as of 04/08/2010: VALID ENDORSEMENTS: MOTORCYCLE RESTRICTIONS: NONE ***END OF DRIVER RECORDS***
  4. I have some sources in the ND family, but now the alcohol info is included in most story updates. Indeed a sad day for the families involved and ND football.
  5. It was apparently an accident from what I have read from several sources; also mentioned in the rivals article linked above. The kids were fooling around and James lost his balance. I can't imagine watching one's best friend losing his life. Horrible... Update: Apparently James was drinking and went to the balcony to argue with people in the next room; he hung over the balcony and fell. There were supposedly chaperones there, but 40 underage kids drinking in a room sounds like something bad will happen.
  6. In this situation he was knocked off his bike and slid about 30 feet. He was able to get up and as he got up the attackers chased him; he did have time to draw, but wasn't carrying because his place of employment didn't allow it.
  7. Gunfights are only one type of threat. What about other types of disparity of force? I have a buddy who was knocked off his bike by 5 men and was beaten, I think a firearm would have helped him in his situation. What about the woman who is being followed by a man in a parking garage? A man with a knife will respect a firearm pointed in his direction. Will carrying a firearm guarantee a positive outcome for every threat, no, but it does level the field. With regard to training to deal with the physiological aspects of a defensive situation, you are correct, not many CHL holders have that experience. Although, I have read many accounts where people with little firearm experience have neutralized a threat who is carrying a firearm, many accounts are elderly men and women; the fact is most "bad guys" probably have less experience than most CHL holders. I know that is a general sweeping statement, but that is why the Internet was created, right? =)
  8. Yeah, I was going North on 23 in Worthington and saw the big Cycle Search logo stopped yesterday; great advertising except for the fender bender part. =)
  9. Do you need to weld a front bumper on a cargo van or something? =)
  10. This is my daily carry and I like it very much. The Para Ord cwx645S. It conceals well and I hardly notice it is with me. It is a single stack 6+1, so I carry a 10rd reload.
  11. Everyday carry is a Para Ordnance LDA 6.45 Carry. It is a single stack and has 3" barrel. Also have a SA xD9sc which I carry as a BUG in my truck. Both are carried at 4 or 5 o'clock or appendix depending on clothing and circumstances.
