I've got a few friends that work at Honda, and while true they are "white collar" (graduated with them), they've basically told me that all they do is testing what Japan wants them to test. All the design and decisions come from overseas and they just are just in charge of executing and reporting.Maybe it's different with Nissan? I don't know. But we 'design' ESC systems at work too - meaning we do what the Europeans tell us and give our feedback. We have very limited things we can do with the ECU without approval.
