SAMBUSA
Blaming the accident on texting is just ammunition for a political agenda. "OMG, there's a cell phone in the car. She must have been texting and that's what caused the crash. Let's ban cell phones"
John
<sigh> I really don't think banning texting is the answer. Changing CD's, messing with the radio, or eating a burger all interfere with your ability to drive just as much as texting, and we allow all those activities.IMO texting is MUCH dangerous than eating a burger or changing the station. yes, they are all distractions, but when you are texting and driving, you arent looking at the road. you are pretty much driving blind. studies show that txting drivers are more impaired than drunk drivers. kawi kid
we should ban old people drivers too. i can text, eat a burger and drive all the the same time better than they can drive.

John
if text driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving then they should carry similar penalties.
