CBRzach
I wanted to let you guys know about the great customer service that was extended to me from this shop.I was having an electrical issue with my bike (07 1000rr) that started a couple weeks ago. The 10 amp fuse on the turn signal circuit blew so I replaced it and started the bike up, only to have it go out again. I knew there was a problem at this point, so after getting some help and advice from friends and also trying to tinker with it myself with no luck, I took it to Sporty's Friday evening and dropped it off. I got a call Saturday afternoon from the service manager Pete. He told me that my taillight had gone bad and that he thought the LED had failed because he disconnected the taillight and started the bike up and the fuse didnt blow. I decided to try and find a taillight elsewhere because they're like 130 bucks from Honda. I picked the bike up as the shop was closing and started back home. I dont believe I made it a mile before I realized the fuse had blown again. Now I was mad because I had just paid for an hour of labor and still didnt know what was wrong with the bike. I figured I would just wait it out til Monday and call them back just to let him know.Monday morning I gave Pete a call and told him what happened. He told me to bring the bike in and he would take another stab at it. I dropped the bike off and after about three hours I got a call back from him. He said the bike was finished. Apparently the left turn signal hot wire had been rubbing against the frame on the underside of the main harness. It had rubbed through three layers of plastic before it blew the fuse. When I got to Sporty's to pick the bike up he explained all this to me. I said thank you and how much do I owe you? To my surprise, he said nothing!! He didn't charge me for replacement fuses, or wires (he had to replace the wire because it was worn really bad), and also the three hours of labor. It was easily a $200 job for free. So I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Sporty's and I will definitely do business with them again!!!
fusion
You're the first person I've talked to in a while (cruisers and sportbikes) that are willing to go back to them for service.
NinjaNick
I haven't been there for years. I'm going to stop by there soon.
DangBruhY
I haven't had any service from there, but I bought my gloves and I always get my oil and filters from there.
suntorn
I totally disagree with the "good" customer service statement. I called them a couple weeks ago to get some work done on my bike 1krr for an upcoming track day.whoever I spoke to acted like i was asking him for a favor?! Does this place not want to make money?! He blatantly told me he just doesn't have time for it, and to go somewhere else! I was completely shocked and speechless... I'll never, ever go back to that place or recommend them to anyone.with the motorcycle industry the way it is, i can't beleive anyone would turn down work as easy as i was asking for... The dealership in Springfield (forget the name) actually took me back to speak to their mechanic directly, and even explained the process... thats customer service. wrillo
sounds like they might have one bad apple there. hopefully it isn't the owner/manager with a god complex
CBRzach
That doesnt sound like anyone I dealt with. The mechanic (Pete) seemed friendly enough to me.
