ironbuttwannabe
I have one, the key is to not fill it completely with air. I would say it raises you an inch to inch and a half higher. I use them on long rides, works great
the_silverfox
Sheepskin seat pads FTW! Although AirHawks look comfy...
APCh8r
I know Pony had some back in the day when I worked up there, might want to see if they still have them. They are definitely nice.

ponyjr
They are pretty awesome, your really floating on air. No vibrations, no pressure points, channeled so you get some air flow through it.
jporter12
Wow... Those aren't exactly cheap! It looks like they might be worth it though. I would have expected the $50-75 range.
swingset
I have one, like it a lot. As said above, you don't fill them up...you fill them just enough so that there's air in some of the cells...when you sit on it the air pushes out and the pad conforms and flattens to your butt. It shouldn't raise you much in the saddle. On a real long haul, I'll vary the amount of air and that helps to relieve fatigue too.Are they worth it? Depends I guess. For me on long rides it's worth every penny and much cheaper than a big Russell Day Long or some other custom seat, and easily removed for short runs.I've tried sheepskins, gel pads, beads, none of which gave me all day comfort like the Airhawk. But, every butt is different, and so are seats. My anecdotes don't mean anyone else will have the same experience.
madcat6183
Hue JAs has one on his RC, or said he had one he used on each bike. Said loved it. I am sure he will post in here to confirm, just talked to him last night about it.
Tbone9191
Rode from oh to fl and loved the thing. Never had any problems. Also, forgot it on way home and man did I regret it.
mello dude
The last time I tried out one of them, sat a bit and it started to feel like I had a load of your know what in my pants. Um - I'll pass. ---- I'm back to nothing beats a good corbin seat.
ReconRat
Five Motorcycle Seat Comfort Pads Compared <-- linksummary:Air, animal hide, foam, gel and wood compared.Sheepskin is pleasant, and would be nice with gel or memory foam or both.Wood beads second best to the airhawk, for only 15 bucks. (But not too good with skinny butt.)Airhawk is superior performance at premium price.Gel pads are worthy, if they fit correctly, but lack of air flow might cause hot spots (monkey butt).Regular foam is tall without much gain.opinion: I'm thinking of getting a sheepskin with gel and/or mem foam.
