from Signal Dynamics.

It's still sitting on the workbench so I can't say how well it works yet. The display is a single LED that changes color based on voltage.

I had one almost identical to this one on a past bike:

I'm leaning towards one of these, but I'm not sure if I understand the wiring diagram from their install page...Has anyone ever hooked one of these up?

So I purchased one of these guys from Ebay. I was thinking of tapping into my headlight wires for the power, or maybe directly from the battery with some kind of toggle switch.. Any ideas?

Ok, I know the guy I bought it from put on flush mounted indicators.. I guess the lights are all 12V right?

Yes all lighting is 12V. I'll guess your flush mounts don't have running lights built in so you should have 2 extra (1 for each side) wires on each side of the body work that you can use to power your voltage gauge.

well, i bought this gauge after the bike wasn't charging correctly, anyways i checked that my lights ,indicators and headlights, are only running at 10.1-10.3 volts on a fully charged battery whether the bike is running or just the key on. Has anyone ever experienced this?

for that, all you need is a 12V source form any accessory I would assume

that s pretty low..................

measure with a volt meter

if that s real, your charging system (voltage regulator or whatever) is bad

Those readings were taken with a volt meter. That still doesn't explain why the lights are getting 10V when the battery reads 12.9, if the charging system is f'ed

bad ground?

measure the + to the light and a random ground on the bike (somwhere on the motor or even the - terminal on the batt

could be a (headlight) relay going bad too... cI know you checked head and turn lights but also check the voltage on other accessories (fuel pump, brake lights)
