Tomcat0403
Moto droids finally received the OTA update last night! Huge improvement to the phone! Only thing that they didn't include is the wifi hotspot, which kinda pisses me off, but it is awesome none the less. Going to download flash 10.1 abd see how that works. Tomcat0403
Adobe flash is sweet...however watching videos off of fox.com or hulu doesn't work very well...they are extemely choppy and state "this video is not optimized for mobile use" or something like that...on the plus side discovery.com had a show on their website for shark week that worked really well
r1crusher
The wife was watching CSI from her Eris on our way back from Charleston, SC. just last week. It was actually pretty good for streaming OTA.

Anden
Root your phone and you can do wifi hot spot. But don't take the update if you do. Also Verizon is charging to usb tether.
r1crusher
I don't think that's entirely factual. I USB tethered for an entire week while on vacation using an actual +4GB of data and it was all covered under my unlimited plan. Now I'm also using Easy Tether Pro. ZIXXER9R
I work at Verizon wireless they do charge to tether but there are ways around the charger if you have wifi capable phones
tyler524
I work at Verizon wireless they do charge to tether but there are ways around the charger if you have wifi capable phonesSo let's say one had a WiFi enabled phone. What would one theoretically have to do to take advantage of this capability?

r1crusher
Well...I used Easy Tether Pro like I said and I show no extra changes. How are they going to know I was tethering short of the shear amount of data I pulled and not using the VZW Manager? I was hoping you'd just be able to shed some light on the subject is all.Easy Tether Light (which is free) will work for some stuff but you can't get to facebook, banking sites, etc. I just paid the $10 and got the Pro version, it also let you do VPN connection which you can't with Light I think.
