SpeedTriple44444
More importantly... can a V-star 650 really go 110mph?At the risk of (in the hope of) starting an oil thread... Rotella.

SpeedTriple44444
Not that I disagree... Mobil1 is my first choice (if I wasn't so cheap).
chevysoldier
eh, oil is really optional anyways.
cg2112
Remember, I ride a cruiser. Riding on the yellow line is easier on the oil.
SpeedTriple44444
It's easier on tires too. Don't have to use 80% of the tread. Geez... with 10K in 7 years, did your tire dry rot before you wore them out?
cg2112
Heh. Actually, I bought the bike in May, it had 6400 miles on it.
SpeedTriple44444
Nice... sounds like it's finally getting the proper attention.
cg2112
More importantly... can a V-star 650 really go 110mph?I doubt it. I've had it to 85, and it doesn't feel like it has much left to give at that speed. Maybe if I lost 40 pounds. I've read that it tops out at a little more than 90. SWing'R
Dang, where was I on this "Hoblick Garage Day"?
Ziggy
It will do 110... With some mods. Downhill. With a tail wind. Maybe. I got mine to tickle 100 a couple times, then my better sense took over and reminded me of the implications of a ticket like that.
SpeedTriple44444
Not too shabby. I know the C-50 Suzukis will only do about the same, even with more displacement.
