$pecial_K Posted September 15, 2010 Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 http://www.bucyrustelegraphforum.com/article/20100915/NEWS01/9150305/Bucyrus-man-dies-in-crashBUCYRUS -- A Bucyrus man was found dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident southeast of the city Tuesday morning.Roy Staats, 42, who lives near the accident site on New Winchester Center Road, was found in a field on Winchester Road West, south of Monnett-Chapel Road, about 7 a.m. Tuesday.Crawford County Sheriff's Maj. Mike Castor said he was not certain what time the accident occurred, saying it "happened sometime either (Monday) night or this morning, when we got t he call."According to a sheriff's report, Staats was southbound on Winchester Road West when he lost control of his motorcycle and went off the east side of the road.Castor said the motorcycle hit a bean field and Staats was thrown off as the bike rolled.County Coroner Michael Johnson pronounced Staats dead at the scene.Investigators are awaiting autopsy results from the Lucas County Coroner's Office.
