attentiongetter92
I was tossing the idea around of converting my 93 cr250 into a sumo so I was just wondering where theres places to race(legally) around columbus. I know theres the little go kart track in circleville but I was hoping there would be someplace whhere I could take it out of 3rd. Also(I know wrong forum but since im here..) anyone know of a rim/tire combo that would fit on the back of a 93? Im pondering the idea of taking it out to Marysville Honda this weekend and throwing it on a dyno to see if Im making more then the new 4 strokes and want to make sure the wheels they have there that they are putting on their crf250r and 450r will fit. rawlins87
Pretty sure the new 250's 450s use different axle sizes. Most bolt on wheels will be for the bigger axles. You will have to buy a rim and lace it to a stock or aftermarket hub. Rim size would be 3.5 for front and 4.25 for rear. Then Avon distania's for tires 120 front 140-150 rear

4DAIVI PAI2K5
There is a track by dayton, an parking lots every where. The bigger the rim/tire you can fit the better. I've seen plenty of 250/500's most ppl will switch over to a newer style frames.
fireman_343
That track you are talking about is G&J, in Camden, Oh.. I'm trying to work out a deal to see if I can get my club to race there. We use to a long time ago, but haven't been back since they expanded the track. CRP is a fun track, but like you said... you won't get out of 3rd, but it will keep ya busy and helps keep ya on your toes! If you don't mind driving a little bit.. BeaveRun (out near Beaver Falls, PA) is about the best/longest track within a decent driving distance!
Moto-Brian
Your going to want to run as big a tire as you can. 160s are the most common. Smaller is tougher to get along with on any track. Most guys are running the smaller tires on more narrow/older rims...CRP is a sick track and really, better than any road race course with these bikes. They just aren't going to be any fun at a full size course. Beaver is cool. A little more open, but not much and not as technical for the big bikes as CRP. Camden - I have yet to ride there. The Junkie guys do and seemingly have a big group that does down there. I plan on it when the weather breaks. Finally, as for power... You are probably wanting to just avoid the dyno. The new 4 strokes are going to be big power vs your bike. Even if you slapped a 280 or similar kit on it... Plus, 4 strokes are easier to motored. Just food for thought, but in the end, you got a bike and check Ebay for wheels or Supermotojunkie.com for some. Used, you shouldn't pay more than $500 with rotors. That would be the wider rears, also...

It's not like it is going to stop getting cold enough for this in Ohio anytime soon!
