Chiappa: low barrel, flat cylinder revolvers

I could see how the lower barrel configuration would reduce muzzle flip.

:wtf: That certainly is an interesting look. I'm not too quick to say "ugly" though. Interesting. I wonder what they'll MSRP for?

I never knew they existed till about an hour ago. The flat cylinder was my idea darn it. I missed the patent.

I kinda like them. Not sure about Chiappa in general though.

I've seen the lower barrels before but wondered why they haven't caught on more, the premise makes a lot of sense. I have never shot one with that configuration so I am curious how much it helps and if it is a big difference from firing a traditionally placed barrel.

I watched a video of this gun the other day, and the shooter stated (and it looked like) that the gun has very little recoil shooting .357 Magnum rounds.

I'm normally a "function before fashion" kind of guy (as anyone who has seen my attire will attest...), but this thing is just fugly. Maybe it's the extremely cheap-looking wood grips, maybe the oddly-shaped frame; I dunno, it's just homely.
