Disclaimer
Top Gear Pits Ariel Atom V8 v. BMW S1000RRI guess they probably should've used a Ducati They always seem to come out on top when they're racing Lambo's and Ferrari's.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqjgjRsjQhw&feature=player_embeddedSeriously though, 500hp out of a 3L V8 (which IIRC is two Hayabusa mills put together) - SICK. Moto-Brian
Wow - that was pretty cool, the bike vs car. Gotta admit I was routing for the bike...Honestly, the track they use isn't very well suited for the bike to really dig in while the car is there in front of it. I would have liked to see the bike run a separate run and then the car. Looked like the bike was held up a few times (As well as the bike held the car up at times).I also would like to see them run at a legit track vs. a less than a mile course... Beegreenstrings
will never come back to the states...Sorry... Car or bike? Car... never
Cdubyah
I know it's a show and all but you would think, with an open top car like that, he would have opted for some sort of helmet.
Bad324
both machines are awesome. That segment seemed unusually boring for Top Gear though
Jst2fst
Good show to watch always a good laugh when they do one of the competitions between each other.

No confidence in the surface. But it's a fair approximation of your favorite back road.Color me un-shocked that a $150,000 POUND (so what, like $260,000 dollars?) tube-chassis open-wheel car with 500hp is faster than a $20k bike... That segment seemed unusually boring for Top Gear thoughThank James May for that I love the guy, but he focuses on all the things I don't give a shit about in a car. If he hates a car, I probably couldn't find fault with it.
Harb67
I see I'm a bit late to the party but I thought I'd share this link: http://www.finalgear.com/It's the best place to torrent Top Gear episodes. They finish airing at 4PM our time, and a torrent is usually posted within a few hours. I'll typically watch the newest episode in 720p or 1080i (if I'm lucky) at about 9 or 10 EST the day they air. 20thGix
I am even later to the party....but do they not show new episodes on BBC America anymore. I thought they were just in between season's. DVR hasn't been recording them.
