Big Chief201
This is nuts to see it makes you feel somewhat better about the crap we have going on. http://www.businessinsider.com/china-ghost-city-documentary-2011-3We've written about China's remarkable ghost cities before and the supposed 64 million vacant properties and the giant shopping mall that is 99% empty. ReconRat
Hell, we did that here in Ohio. Built whole neighborhoods of houses that were never sold or occupied. They got bulldozed under...

OsuMj
One of my chinese co-workers mentioned this once, but I didn't understand the magnitude of it! That is just crazy. And to think they are sitting vacant.... what a strange economic situation.
Big Chief201
It's suprising though that they aren't being stripped of copper and such like here. You see a vacant house for over a few months it's probably stripped clean.

psyco1
Stealing's in every culture that has poor people. When the real estate bubble bursts things are gonna get bad over there.

Habi
I doubt they use copper in any of those buildings. They are just trying to get rid of all the dry wall they started to sell the U.S. builders 10 years or so ago. Then we realized what shit it was so they just used it themselves. shadyone
My roommate just got back from china and we were just talking about all the empty buildings thar were in beijing.. and other large populated cities. this brings it to a whole new level.. On another note imagine the sweet rides you could take through a cirty with zero traffic.. seems like the perfect spot for a late night race scene as well
