Bought a new face shield from motorcycle superstore for my HJC AC-12 helmet.

I purchased the anti-fog smoke ( HJ-09 )

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/mobile/ItemPage.aspx?DivisionGroupId=1&DivisionId=1&DepartmentId=69&ItemStyleId=7177

It seemed very flimsy until it was installed on the helmet. After a few days I found the anti-fog property to work well but ill know more when the weather cools down.

Biggest problem I have is that there is pegs now built onto the shields on each side that gets in my periferal vision.

Seems like a nice shield besides the pegs. Anyone know what these are for and why they started putting them on?

Probably pins for a Pinlock lens.

These lenses insert inside the shield to provide a dual layer shield. This basically eliminates fogging under nearly all conditions. I commute by motorcycle and got the pinlock shield and lens to prevent fogging on cold/drizzling days. Works great.
