jester3681
Guys and gals - anyone done any pipe bending in their fabrication projects? Just curious what tools work and what tools don't. I hate to use the "H" word, but Harbor Freight and eBay both have multiple styles and sizes.Looking to bend some 1" steel round tube, 90 degrees or less.Thoughts would be appreciated. Casper
Harbor Freight is great for those tools you rarely use and don't care if they break. Depending on the bend, I just use a pipe bender and a torch.
ross
Are you wanting bends without a creased or ovaled radius? You can find used JD2 tubing benders on some fabrication forums and occasionally on craigs. Its a time consuming process until you get familiar with it and know where to place the tub so you have less cuts and wasted tube. My truck frame was bent and tacked together in one night.
