conn-e-rot
Ok I want to get a camera this year but I know nothing about them. Do I want to just get a go pro? Or a contour? Which is better? School Me

conn-e-rot
Can you do time lapse with these? I'd like to set it to take a pic every so often for an entire trip.
ross
Can you do time lapse with these? I'd like to set it to take a pic every so often for an entire trip. You'll need a transponder to time your lapse.
cmh_sprint
and you'll get a real love of flowers when you record those pro lapse
JJKITTY
We have the Drift. It does an excellent job and time lapse. It also has a remote wristband on and off and a lcd screen built into the unit without attaching one, so you can see where you are aiming. buildit
Can you do time lapse with these? I'd like to set it to take a pic every so often for an entire trip. The contour roam can be set up to do pics at a preset interval but it takes a computer connection to change settings so you'd either be taking a lap top with you or your stuck with the setting you have till you get home.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txYOwY64s6A
bigd
Can you do time lapse with these? I'd like to set it to take a pic every so often for an entire trip.Go pro can do a pic every 2, 5, 10, or 30 seconds I believe. A good example of a gopro2 timelapse...https://vimeo.com/36988787
buildit
Obviously both have pros and cons. I only have a contour so I can speak on it's pros and cons for the most part. The one thing I do like over the go pro is the ergonomics. Maybe someday I'll own a tissue box too and can really do a hard line comparison between them. myhondas
actually, i believe if you have the skeleton back on it, you can plug it in.

4DAIVI PAI2K5
Im in the same boat also. The contour has the ability to attach to a AR, which would be cool. Also wanting it for Mt. Biking. Everyone loves the Go Pro so Im stuck on my decision.
conn-e-rot
No but the case pops open in about 2 seconds. So in order to use it for an entire day I'd need to carry a few batteries and a charging cradle?
4DAIVI PAI2K5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUEZCxBcM78&feature=player_embeddedI like how with 60FPS allows for the slow mo
4DAIVI PAI2K5
So in order to use it for an entire day I'd need to carry a few batteries and a charging cradle? If using it on the bike you can wire it in. Go pro can record while charging.
blue03636
So in order to use it for an entire day I'd need to carry a few batteries and a charging cradle? The HD ones use a battery pack that is good for about 2.5 hours. You could either purchase extra battery packs or do like 4DAIVI PAI2K5 said. You would most likely have to put a hole in the side of the case for that though. 4DAIVI PAI2K5
I figure I will to between the mt. bike the 4wheeler and mounting it to my VFG on my AR.
Bad324
I've used both but I'm cheap so I just went for the best deal. I don't use it all that often so it didn't matter much to me. If I had unlimited funds the GoPro Hero2 though would no doubt be the way to go
