Hoblick
Ummm yeah they just priced themselves out of the market.Im not saying it isnt worth it, theres a ton of sweet features on that bike, BUTYou can get the top of the line multistrada for 21kOr a triumph tiger for somewhere around there as wellMotus is to new of a manufacturer to trust yet in quality and reliability.Atleast when you buy a ducati or triumph you know when it breaks you can get it serviced easily.Still want to ride that bike bad though, that motor sounds AMAZING
Pokey
Agree......they will probably be a success like Confederate cycles, building and selling expensive custom bikes to select clients. Tis a shame I will never see one in my garage, why is American made stuff so damn expensive?
alienpi
In 5 years they may be priced right on the used market. :-)
Gixxus Christ!
God that's an ugly bike. The motor is awesome, basically half of a midget Corvette ls7 motor. I'm sure its sheer joy to ride and it has just 100 miles less range than my Camry while making more horsepower. I guess I would ride it if someone bought it for me.... Earache
Not too excited about a chain on a touring bike , especially at that price. Needs a shaft.Saw it at the Indy Dealer Show - uglier than shit in person. I suppose the looks might grow on you though.
Tpoppa
Isn't that about the same price as a upper end hd bagger?
drc32-0
Really sorry to hear that price tag,I was very interested in riding an American made sport-tourer.I would have considered buying one at $20,000.I can get TWO FJR's for that price and the FJR is a proven bike with an extensive dealer network and aftermarket accessory dealers. redkow97
Is that the actual price or just MSRP?
Revelstoker
First year startup and I don't think they have the capacity to pump out thousands. I saw it at the Indy dealer show and was pretty impressed.Motus guy says he can turn laps on it at Barber just a bit slower than on his Gixxer.$10k lower and I think they would be on to something. I wonder if Falcone signed on to be a dealer. Norton and Motus in the house will get me to stop in for a visit.
82packer
That's alot of money for such an ugly bike. I would love an american sport-touring bike but this isn't going to be it. Edited March 18, 2012 by 82packer

Bad324
damn I like those minus the headlight setup. Looks like a Ducati and VFR had a baby to me with a deformed GSXR faceI get with it being a start up why its high but I wonder if they are going with the profit model or the "break even a few years til we get a following" route. If they were smart they'd go for the 2nd

If they were smart they'd go for the 2ndDealer network and small production, with no real plans to produce huge numbers. Though, I doubt they would turn away orders if they were placed.Interestingly, they do plan on selling the motor as a crate option. Downside, new Ford Boss 302 is available for $12k as a crate motor. Motus is also $12k.Pricey but at 185hp and 122ft lbs of torque, that little motor would make on heck of a go kart.
