Gump
12 REASONS TO VOTE DEMOCRATWhen your family or friends cannot explain why they voted Democrat, give them this list. Then they can then pick a reason from this "TOP 12"...1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.4. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.6. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the social security from those who paid into it.8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.10. I voted Democrat because I think that it's better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish.11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised "HOPE AND CHANGE".12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass, it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.
magley64
let's add a few real ones...because I believe all people should have the same rights...because we already give too many tax breaks to the wealthy...because the churches have already taken too much control of our government...because the last few times we had a democrat in office, our economy improved...because the last democrat president actually balanced the budget...because the last time we had a republican in office, he started a bunch of wars because "god" told him to...because without the current president, america wouldn't have an auto industry...FTR, I'm still voting Ron Paul... but you can't deny that there are some very good reasons to vote liberal. Gump
I don't take any of my posts literally. I just like to watch and see who it pisses off and the fact extraction. My votes for Romney only because I dislike Obama's opinions and Paul is a wasted vote for Obama.
Tpoppa
let's add a few real ones...because without the current president, america wouldn't have an auto industry......and without democratic support of the UAW, the american auto industry probably wouldn't have been in that position in the first place :stirthepot

magley64
Paul is a wasted vote for Obama. So you're saying by voting for my favorite candidate, I'm also voting for my third favorite candidate?I can deal with that... as long as I'm not voting for mittens, I'm good. cg2112
I think the only thing stopping me from voting for Ron Paul is pretty much all of his policies, and my inability to hate black people.
Gump
Which opinions?Socialist opinions? Look, I always vote the republican ticket. I can't get into a back and forth convo about this because I barely follow politics, know very little about them and am ignorant. Just post it for fun then learn from it also. The way I see it, the fed handles some taxes, writes checks for medicare, social security, farmers, students, the unemployed and its primary #1 responsibilty is national security, to keep us safe from outside threats. And I figure no president is able to wave a magic wand and make businesses start popping up and save the economy, people need to figure out how to work or start a business on their own and stop being lazy bags of crap. max power
Gump, seriously, stop feeding the retarded trolls.Magz, our last 3 democratic presients were Obama, Clinton and Carter. Now, i know you are young and dont know what you are talking about, but carter did nothing for our economy or foreign policy. As a matter of fact, he is widely regarded as our worst modern day prez, that is, until the messiah came along. Clinton was just the lucky recipient of good economic times due to the tech boom and buisness friendly policy of the previous republican administrations. If you are gonna argue this shit constantly, at least get recent political history learnt so you dont look stupid to those of us who lived through it.CGwhoever, you can crawl back under your rock now. It becomes rather tiring to hear. If you're getting your information from email chain letters, and using that information to form and opinion, you're going to find yourself wrong a lot.I can understand voting for members of a particular party. I will vote for Democrats, Republicans and Independents at times, but generally vote for Democrats. This is because I've spent a lot of time educating myself about issues that are important to me, and the candidates that can impact those issues. But if you're not able to even say where you disagree with a candidate or a party, it's clear that you have no good reason for voting Republican, and do it basically because you're easy to manipulate with emotional campaigning. The same is true of someone who votes for Democrats without actually bothering to find out if every bad thing they hear about Republicans is true or not.CGwhoever, you can crawl back under your rock now.
