Chrome
I want to convert my trailer lights from bulbs to led lights. What should I keep in mind when making this change?Enclosed 7x14 with v-nose
Brownsfan1
Not much to it. It doesn't require an kind of wiring upgrade or anything real involved.
donkason
Pug and play. My father in law did this on his trailer. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
ohiomike
No load equalizers?
Brownsfan1
No load equalizers. Shouldn't need them not unless he has a ton of lights on the trailer.
Chrome
The lights are only on the fenders tail lights and couple more around the corners. Load equalizers needed or is it still not enough lights?
Ziggy
Load equalizers should only be necessary if changing from conventional lights to LED on the tow rig. The flasher on the tow rig is what tells the trailer lights when to flash. As long as the flasher is reading the appropriate load from the tow rig's lights, the LEDs on the trailer should work normally without any additional modification. At least I would think so, anyway...
