  1. I went online to register and apparently they cut off online registration Friday at 12. I tried to call in and got no answer. They have changed their website around a lot and I can't tell if Monday the 21st is full or not. Is there anything on the web that lets you know? I would hate to get packed up and make the trip to turn around at the gate.
  2. 250-600-750-1000-1400...the best rider on a sport bike will be getting on the track and getting some laps in to really experience what these bikes can do as well as make you better on the street. I have a 750 with factory suspension. It's fast enough but doesn't allow me to rely on drag racing to get ahead lap after lap. I've been tracking for 3-4 years now and it's still faster than me. Stay safe pushing it like that on the street. Like what you ride and ride what you like.
  3. I called a locksmith and they said they can cut em up for me. Thank you!!!!!!
  4. I lost one of the Keys to my M109R last summer and only have one key for my track bike. I ordered some blanks online but I have no idea where to get them cut. Called the Iron Pony and Ask. Both said no deal. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Sweet. That's what I was leaning towards but now I'm good to go.
  6. Cleaned fuel filter. It wasn't really dirty at all. Then I went to change the plugs and have a dumb question. The old ones that came out had a threaded top and the new ones have a fitting on the top. I pulled two old plugs and both had threaded tops only. Are they supposed to be threaded or did something come loose and get stuck in the plug boot? I took the threaded old plugs and tried to screw them back into the boot to see if there was something in there I could snag and drag out to no avail. I just want to check before I slap it all back together. Thanks!
  7. If my plugs and filter don't fix it I'll head to this DTM gentleman. Where is this mystical dyno man that everybody speaks about. I've never heard a bad thing about him so might as well try it. I ran a 1:45.94 with the bike falling on its nose out of every turn. It'll be worth the dough to see what I can do when it's on point!
  8. Great info! I don't think I got a bad tune because the bike ran well after and now a problem pops up in a different spot. I just replaced the battery last track day so it should be good to go. I'll clean the filter and I'm going to swap the plugs for starters. Then try it out. If it's still there I'll disconnect the PCIII and see how it goes. You guys are the cars meow!
  9. Her is the rundown. Got my track bike with 3300 miles and bone stock but it had a slip on. It had a flat spot about 7500-8500 rpm range. It wasn't a miss, but more of a bog. I bought a PCIII and had it dyno tuned at Pegrams. The guy said the III only works the lower injectors and doesn't help with the top end rpm range. He tunes it the best he could and it has done okay so far. The last few track days a miss, not a bog, has been developing at 10,500 rpm. It was getting bad Monday. It was fine up to that range and then after maybe 11500 it took off like a scalded dog to the redline. I run pump fuel 93 octane and I haven't changed the plugs. It has around 6000 miles on it now. I threw a gallon of 100 octane in there to see what it did just for the hell of it and it got horrible. I was launching out of corners past people and losing the pass because it was spitting so bad. I'm going to clean the fuel filter in the pump and I was thinking about other things that may cause this. My first idea was to get a new fuel management system that auto tunes all 8 injectors but that's gonna be 5 bills and I want to troubleshoot before I drop the coin. Any suggestions on what to do or where to start?
  10. I went to HF and scored a trailer today. I was thinking if I wadded my bike up how in the hell would I be able to load it and that sealed the deal. BDBGoalie, did you put tie down anchors in your plywood decking or use the trailer itself?
  11. I had thought about a harbor freight trailer and a hitch for my Buick but storing that thing could be an issue. I've seen some big 3 panel ramps that are long and say they work for lifted tucks. Hey are about $400 bucks though.
  12. I'm going to be getting my truck back soon and it will be used to transport my track bike and gear. It is a 1980 Chevy long bed with 35's and a 6 inch lift. I am assuming the height of the bed will cause some challenges for conventional ramps. I'm looking for a way to load and unload solo too. Does anybody have any tips, tricks, custom ramp ideas, etc that would make this am easy job for me?
  13. I did my front forks last year. Springs for my fat behind, seals, fluid, etc. I lost my sheet where I had all of my adjustments listed pre fork rebuild. As of now I have just over 3.5 turns from full in to full out on rebound adjustment. I think before I redid everything it had a wider range of adjustment, like 4 turns or over. 1. Does anybody know what the stock forks had for an adjustment range on rebound? 2. If the range was more before I messed with it would having only 3.5 turns be an issue? I just want to make sure I didn't jack anything up. I may have spun a lock but down too far or done something to remove the range of adjustability.

A track bike will run 2500-3500 depending on how much you want to spend. Sounds like its time to convert yours and ride it like you stole it. Keep the fairings and sell it as a street bike when you want to get rid of it. Sorry to hear you went down. It must hurt even worse being in your street bike too????
  15. And I truly don't care what they buy. I'm not desperate enough to troll on a forum for a deal. I'm just sharing my opinion like everybody else. But thanks for the "gotcha" way to contribute. GM was junk for years. I've worked on cars and sold them. They are much better now.
  16. Did drive Honda and Toyota.
  17. Probably 20 to 25 cents a mile at lease maturity. So 15 to 20 thousand over. If you buy miles upfront it is normally 15 cents. Leasing sounds like it would be a good option for your situation too. I'm in the car business and sell Cadillacs at Germain of Easton. PM me if you have any questions. Btw domestic cars, especially GM/Cadillac have really stepped it up in quality. I switched to Honda/Toyota for some time but wouldn't hesitate to pick up a GM car now.
  18. -1+2 gearing. I've kept it in a higher gear to smooth out my riding and allow forgiveness with throttle control. What corners sound the worst for lugging? I know turn 8, the camel hump, I run in 4th and that's pretty high. Thanks for the video Bchristy.
  19. Wow! I'm glad I asked. It sounds like my main issue is getting my upper body off the bike for a better center of gravity and less lean angle. I thought I was getting better at this but the go-pro tells the real story. I'm really corkscrewed in a turn. Sometimes I've played with sort of pushing the bike upright and hanging my body off until my outside forearm is laying across the tank. It's a bit hard for me because I'm 6'2" and 225lbs so my elbows sit on my knees and i get bound up. It'll take some time. I'm also going to put some blue tape where my mirror should be as a reference to where my head should be. If I can see it I should probably be okay. And pointing my dick through the corner, that is hilarious and true. My throttle, it seemed neutral most if the time and I wasn't hard enough out of the corners. Sorta felt like a bitch after seeing it. That'll take time and balls. I'm slowly getting there. I think I'll gain confidence from better body positioning since it will allow a more upright position and less feedback from the bike spooking me. Braking is another one. I don't trail brake much, yet don't get on the juice early enough to justify parking the bike before tipping in. I'm running Pilot Pures now and the carcass is hard with little warning to slippage. I had my front wash out a few times with little warning. The last time cost me an ambulance ride. I'm softening my rebound dampening to adjust as well. Any of you A riders have video post it up so I can see how you're doing it, please and thank you. Time to be a student and figure out how to hang ride this thing like I mean it. I really appreciate all your help. This track day thing is the best worst habit I've ever had. Thanks to BDBGoalie for getting me into this mess. I'm sitting here with this little souvenir in my wrist stretching doing PT so I can get my bike fixed and get back out there.
  20. My legs are plenty strong and my ass is tight like a tiger! My best is a 1:43 but I wasn't close to it that day. I think I ran 1:47-1:49's all day. I dropped 20lbs and didn't do any real adjustments to my suspension so it felt different. My front end was pushing everywhere due to too much rebound dampening. I was just breaking my winter rust off. My lines are good when I hit them. Turn one is tough for me. You'll see the first lap I pooch it and run up on the rumble strip. The second lap I hit it rather well. Also the big swooping uphill right into thunder valley need some work. I could be a lot faste there. and I don't care if you are running 2:10 lap times advice is advice and anybody is qualified to help me out My goal is to race eventually when I figure out what the hell I'm doing. Right now I'm pretty quick for I and I would like to hit A after the next few track days.
  21. I got a Go Pro this year so I can review my riding and work on making myself better. I have a short list of things I see needing work but I wanted to post up a 2 lap clip from Mid Ohio and have some of you guys look it over and help give me some pointers and areas to improve. Things I've noticed so far, I coast through the turns at neutral throttle then tend to ham fist it on the exit and my body position is inconsistent. I was watching bchristy's video and he seems to build speed the second he is done tipping in. Soemtimes I drop my head low and to the side in turns and sometimes I keep it up and twist my upper body. Advice is welcome and thank you!

That was me you were working to pass off the keyhole and out braked me on the back straight. Nice riding and throttle control. It helped me pick a few things I have to work on. You are fast.
