FYI, the VZW hotspots will log ALL data that goes through them and not just what goes out to the internet. So if you have computers connected together at home for backup or other stuff, that is adding to your data usage.

Stupid I know but thats how they do it.

If they charge for data that does not go over the internet then that's some stupid BS right there. That's like being charged voice minutes for using the camera on your phone. I'd rig up a DD_WRT router inside the home and keep all your stuff behind it, only let Verizon see your internet traffic. Betcha that usage would drop to almost nothing.

I watch a TON of videos, sometimes an hour or so an night, and I don't exceed 20Gb/mo.

I'm on Frontier DSL right now. I was on Nexgenaccess fixed wireless and they were pretty good but DSL is faster. Bright.Net might still be around.

There's a ton of people complaining about sudden rises in data Verizon MiFi data usage, sound just like yours.
