Hello all! New guy posting in, drive a 2007 Mustang GT with only appearance mods. This summer I hope to add a CAI and tuner, possibly headers and exhaust. I heard about this site through a couple guys at work (a Cobra driver and a 350z pilot). I am here to look at, hear about, and learn about cars. I am a total non-gearhead, my only mechanical stuff is from building computers and guns (AR15's and 1911's). I plan on hitting National Trails this summer to see and experience more. Other than my car, I like shooting, playing Wii and computer games, hiking, camping, and playing sports (football, tennis, basketball). If you want to know anything else, just ask. See you around!

do you no that most of the people that worked there when it was buckeye steel never made it to retirement there the got all kind of cancer from that place so what is your life worth buckeye steel workers made twice the money an it was not a nuff for the work condition do you no how many people have lost there life inside that plant do no about all the law suite that they have from familys saying there love one got cancer an is dead now.you cant put a price on your life but you you need to look at the big pitcure MONEY DOES MATTER an it is one of the lowest paying steel mills but i am glade you like it i just think you need more money for what you do.

Hal, in all the pictures I have here on the computer, and the pictures in my 4.6 book, none of the timing chains look loose like they do in your car. I think you may have jumped time (especially after looking at the marks on you chain/gear). I would take the timing sprocket off of the crank and rotate the engine until the number one piston is TDC. There are 2 copper links on each timing chain (even the smaller secondary chains). They should all line up to timing marks on the gears. Also, the camshaft keyways should all be facing straight down. If the cam keyways face down on the drivers side, but the passenger side looks offset, you found your problem. If you want me to come over and help, let me know.

FYI, The motor had been disassembled and recently re-assembled. it is FINALLY ready to go back in, this thing MIGHT actually get done.
