I guess my name gives the basics away, my names Steve Wise and I own an S14 (95' Nissan 240sx). I go to OSU and live here on campus, im studying welding engineering. I bought my baby about June of last year from my now ex-girlfriend and about two months later I started a massive overhaul since she looked as though she had been left in the middle of an outdoor destruction derby ring. Project KA24DE-T consists of (from the bottom up): polished crank, new rod and main bearings (clevite), Eagle rods, CP .020" over pistons, inconel exhaust and titanium nitride coated intake valves (supertech). Dual valve springs and stage 3 cams (Crower). Also the block was milled and magnafluxed as was the head (minus the magnaflux cause its aluminum ). Also when I bought it, it was a auto so, that must be changed. I haven't made a decision on a turbo or suspension yet because im not really sure what I want to do with it. I personally don't think I'll be going up there any more. I didn't go up there to race, my car is slow and I know it, but I liked seeing the other cars and shooting the shit with people. But think about this, if the cops are watching sonic, theyre definitley taking note of the cars there. That will probably increase your chances of not getting let off of a ticket in the future, if the cop pulls you over and thinks "hmm this guy has been involved in this here fast and the furious scene...he needs to learn a lesson". It sucks cause a lot of us just like to hang out and appreciate cars. I'm not knocking racing, thats where this all stems from its the background of our hobby. I just hope everyone keeps their eyes and ears open and stays safe.

Some people I saw (red VW, white C5), turned around in Burger King on 36/37, and never made it to the check point. I lol'd when the genoa cop at the checkpoint said "We are conducting an investigation to inflitrate an underground drag racing ring on 71." There's no such thing as a "cool cop". They are all mindless thugs who are trained to abuse their legal power to "serve" the taxpayers. Maybe once we get out of this "have everything, do nothing" society, people will wake up and take the power back. The End.

So there's this guy whos a regular at my bar. Good guy, decent always looks out for others, etc... well he's a total functional alcholic and everyone knows it. He even tells people "if i get too drunk, take my keys because i cant get ANOTHER DUI". FFWD tonight and sure enough, he gets too drunk. Me, my brother, his wife and some friends are there having a good time and he approaches me and says "if you dont give me my keys ... i dont want to have to kick your ass". Now Todd is a pretty stocky guy but he's wasted so im thinking, ok dont fight a guy who's clearly drunk. He's my friend and i know we'll both regret it ... and yes I do have his keys in my pocket. long story short this asshole punch's me in the chest b/c I wont give his keys to him. After that some words are exchanged and somehow my brother gets into it with some dude whos not even involved. They're clentched up like they're about to choke each other out and all for what? because some fucking alcoholic wanted to drive home. Damn me for helping him out right? I swear sometimes I think it would just be easier to let people go about their lives without interruption but I dont know if i could live with myself if todd had hurt or killed someone last night bc he was too damn stubborn to call a cab. Fuck drunk assholes.

Sorry I've smudged your fairytale view of the police. My opinions come from somebody whos been beat by cops, arrested without probable cause, has witnessed cops blatently disregarding my legal rights as an american, detained without cause or bail, illegally searched... must I go on. I don't appreciate this bullshit when I get that fat chunk of doughnut money taken out of my check. They should be going after the murderers, rapists, drug dealers (which is a whole other rant), crackheads, and so on...
