  4. Oh hey guys. I'm Ryan, most of you don't know me...and a couple of you do/might. I've been here for a while, posting here and there, been out to an event or two. But I've never really had a car I was "proud" of per se, and thus I never really made an effort to come up and meet new people when I was out. I've had 3 cars since I've been on here. This was Bigbird, my 03 Sentra Spec-V. I had this when I first joined, hence the screen name (man do I wish I hadn't done that haha). It was fun for me at the time, taught me a lot about cars as it was my second one, and my first one I actually did some work on myself. Still though...kinda ricerish, I'm not gonna lie, but we all grow and our interests change. (I can say I didn't weave around like a Paul Walker wannabe haha so thats good) http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v129/76/86/50611087/n50611087_31069576_9439.jpg I sold Bigbird for this...my 1987 IROC Z28 http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v129/76/86/50611087/n50611087_31069582_1254.jpg Yeah...it looks pretty bad haha. I had this out at a few meets here and there. The good thing about it was the engine. It had a 383 stroker, with cam, heads, and all that jazz. I still have it, but a friend/neighbor is currently buying it. He takes care of it, and I haven't even driven it in forever. (This was actually my second F-Body, my first car was a '92 V6 Camaro...as some of you may have seen in the "post pics of yourself" thread..with my crazy long hair haha) After my beater that I drove while the Camaro sat started to fall apart I got my RSX Type-S... http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v172/76/86/50611087/n50611087_31266909_4416.jpg It was a nice daily driver. I ended up putting a CAI, header, and motor mount inserts on it just to jazz it up a little bit I suppose, but it never really excited me. I've never felt at home in this car, and FWD is just all wrong. It was nice for a while, but I've decided to upgrade... Today I picked up this beauty... http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v378/76/86/50611087/n50611087_31875596_7415.jpg A 1999 Camaro SS M6. I was in the market for a small truck or SUV when I saw this thing and just couldn't pass it up. As soon as I sat in it I got a huge grin on my face. It just felt right. She isn't perfect, but I love her already. She has 75'000 miles, a cat-back(I haven't checked which one yet, but I like it ), K&N intake, and a BBK throttle-body. I've got a few plans for it, but I'm new to the LS1 scene so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to coming out more often now. I know there are some great people on this site, and I really shouldn't have been so apprehensive about coming up and meeting you guys...but oh well! Haha all I can do now is come out to more events(hopefully the next track day!), and really try and be a part of this community. Oh yeah sorry for the crappy pics, I'm pretty sure all of them were taken from my cell phone. I would also take more pics of the SS...but now it's got snow all over it haha.

  14. I thought I've been BTDT, but I can't view the forums so here goes. I live at a creepy old horse farm outside Dublin, have a barn full of broken Audis and motorcycles, and shoot out my front door whenever I feel like it. I have also played the hotrod Chevy game a couple times, but I refuse to play with Fords until my Ford tractor gives me AT LEAST 1 season without trouble. I go to trackdays at Mid-Ohio on my bikes, have been down twice so far, and play too much call of duty on PS3 NOT xbox. Ok guys, flame away! Or not, if you want to be cool. I'm sometimes a bit of an ass. Also I know some people here but have no idea what their screen names are. Chris, who else do I know here? bah Hello to all

  15. ok, so i noticed that alot of you on here are import fans. well i am myself, but since im a mustang owner, i found this to be amazing. i found this on another forum. this guy posted this and i had to share it. ======================================================== Heres the pics I took. bkl89 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting This guy has collected HUNDREDS of acres of cars! NOBODY knows about this place. Its in the middle of nowhere in RI. The owner is working on CRUSHING all these vintage cars! He has been instructed by the state to get rid of all the cars. It will take years to crush all these cars and the owner is 70 years old. I have no idea what will become of the largest junkyard I have ever seen. Nobody knows of this place. Thousands of these classics will go to waste. Here is mostly mustang pictures I took . There us Hundreds of 64-71 Mutangs. Boss, mach 1, many many convertibles, K codes, fastbacks.. Maybe shelbys? The owner is crazy. He's always drunk is very hard to deal with. He's in another world. He said he personally DROVE nearly all the cars in a field in the 60's-70 and left them there for dead. Many are rusted beyond repair. But there still many parts cars. It will take about two weeks of walking 5 hours a day to see all the cars here. Plus many of them are so buried in overgrown trees and prickers there is no way to see them. I seen a dozen complete 392 hemi cars. This guy refuses to advertise, so nobody knows about it. Believe it or not the guy is still buying cars and driving them in the woods. The last time i was there the owner bought a running 60's mustang and drove it in the woods to be left for dead. Some people may see these pictures and see this and think this mess is illegal, well it may be, but the state is aware of it and they have ordered him to clean it up. He is cleaning it, just very slowly. He is 70 years old and when he dies or goes fully blind (he is almost blind) The junkyard will be taken over by the state and over 20,000 classic cars will be destroyed. I do not have the owners phone number. He will sell parts or cars, but is hard to deal with and if you go there he will usually walk you to the car you need parts for if he's not too drunk. He will not let you wander around the yard by yourself to look at whatever you want. I know I will get endless emails about this so I will give you all the info I have right here. If you want to see this massive junkyard from a map view I found it on google maps. You can see the cars scattered in the woods. According to google maps location is called "brant trail". Scroll over from that location and follow the trail of junk in the woods. http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/cc114/bkl89/ If you want to see the yard the address is: 60 weaver hill road West Greenwich, RI 02817 According to google maps location is called "brant trail" ===================================================== that is amazing. id give anything take a stroll.
