New guy witha turbo EF hatch! Name is jake... Edit: Ok I just read the sticky like i was suppose to do and i feel like a retard. XD I have a 89 honda civic ed hatch with 120000 miles on body. Color is red on buddy club wheels. I have a pretty much stock b20 on 8lbs of boost. All the building and tuning was done in NC. I just moved to columbus recentley. I really like running my car at the track, its always good fun to meet others. Oh ya the b20 was rebuilt and has about 6000 miles. Sorry for bad intro be gentle. Oh ya my DD right now is a red Honda fit that is lowered and black OEM wheels. I live here in north columbus with my GF and my new baby girl!

Met some guys at mid ohio last week that said I should be on here. I've got a '06 GTI. I'm Jeremy and a motor vehicle enthusiast from Columbus. I currently live a couple hours North, but head down to Columbus on a regular basis. I met a few of you guys at the first Cars and Coffee this year. This is my lightly modified 2005 Mini COoper (no S) performance wise it just has a CAI, will probably add exhaust when the original one dies. thanks mang BTW that was my old gauge setup - I tore all that out and switched up to amber prosports in the center of my dash and a new pod for my DashHawk - I also didn't even realize I painted up that pic (license plate) when I loaded it on photobucket - I think I did that for another forum...

go for it man! yeah the skirts have some fit ment issues.. theyre not authentic Mugen.. theyre knock off.. so im about to stuff some styrofoam in the gaps before and after the door and shape it to my liking, mold it with some polystyrene and make some side skirts that fit better outta some fiber glass! oh and if you went to lincoln high school in gahanna that may have possibly been me.. because i took down an S10 at the track with a 350 small block and i thought i was hot shit.. but then i kinda grew up and everyone has their own style and opinion. and there is no right or wrong car.. unless its a geo..

I admit the Mini is not fast, but once it has some momentum it is a lot of fun. Plus it is miles better than the pile of shit Hyundai Accent I had before it, of course that car was punishment from the car gods for putting an Integra into a tree. I prefer AutoX to drag racing, but to each their own.

I like you.. That being said, the only other person I know who drives a Mini (non s) is a 50 something woman, who "really loves the gas mileage". An S is passable by men as "it's just so fun to drive". S-Line or S8 > Creamsicle shoe box that traps 82mph in the 1/4. PS: Welcome frisky dingy.

S-Line isn't that code for afraid of the power, but really likes the body kit? Is it too soon to get lippy? If so I am sorry.

spool on the street is a goofy idea. Stick with a nice posi unit.

I ran one on the street for three or four years. When I turned sharp and parked the car it would leave the chassis in a bind which would make one side of the rear end higher than the other. I lived with the chirping and binding, but for the street the posi-locker-limited slip is much better. If the car sees very little street duty and more track, go spool.

You are going to hate it, I have a car at the shop I was driving around the other day with one. Its aweful and cannot stand it, makes me hate the car and its visually a pretty cool car

As long as you aren't trying to take turns at any sort of speed, a spool will be fine.

Me being on CR has nothing to do with him. The simple fact is that I love cars, I love the drag strip and I have a lot to learn. I thought this would be an okay place to do so.
