hey all my names matt from reynoldsburg i own 2 toyota supras one is heavily modified and the other is stock im interested in getting to know some people around the area and lookin forward to hanging out with everyone. to give you a idea of what i got 88 toyota supra 2jzgte engine v160 trans mkiv read end 3.23 gear LSD the engine is fully built. carillo rods/ carr bolts cp pistons port polish crower 272s dual titanium valve springs and retainers 1mm oversized valves. its running a gt4202r with a 1.15ar ex AEM EMS 1000cc injectors aeromotive a1000 fuel pump -10 feed lines -8 return lines full custom cluster. the car mad 867hp and 711 ftlbs at 32psi. a few weeks ago on e85 and the fastest its been this year on the track is 11.74 at 137mph. anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Hello everyone. I am new to the site and pretty excited to get involved and talk with others in town that share the same interest of being pretty obsessed with cars. I would consider myself fairly knowledgable with cars, however I am pretty new when it comes to actually doing the work myself- although one of my main goals is to be able to work on my own cars. I have been in Columbus my whole life- grew up in Gahanna, went to OSU and did the campus thing for a long time, and now I live in a condo on the NW side of town. I am 28 btw. My car history is as follows...I'll make it clear that since I was about 13 and my buddy's older brother got a new WS6 I have been a huge Camaro/Firebird guy. If I could have gotten one at 16, I would have, but....I bought a 2000 Civic SI brand new, owned it for 7 years, drove it pretty hard, and it was an awesome car for my age. I sold it in '07 and bought a 2007 MazdaSpeed 6 turbo. I was traveling a lot, and needed a bigger car that was still fun to drive. You should see the pic of that below. I owned that for 3 years, but in the meantime I bought a house, and decided I was done making big car payments. I sold the Mazda last July. I immediately bought my 1996 T/A. I prefer the 98-02, but wanted low miles so had to get a '96 in my price range. I found it with only 49,000 miles in spectacular condition. I imagine it has probably been restored, but I prefer to believe that it has always been stored in a garage and driven 25 mph like I was told, HA. See pics below. And with the cash leftover, my daily driver is the awesome 1992 Accord you also should see- if I figured out how to post the pics. I am now free of car payments, and plan to slowly mod the T/A into the beast it can be. I don't plan on racing it much yet, but I love to drive it around on a sunny day, and after I do some mods, will probably want to go to NTR. Car is bone stock except for the CAI I just installed, and a flowmaster muffler. My buddy was doing 130mph in his RX8 and passed three state troopers. The first two didn't even bother pulling out of the median and the third started to creep out and then changed his mind. Sometimes the hunters want easy prey so they would rather pull over a minivan doing 15 over the limit rather than a vehicle that might give them some trouble. I have gotten two tickets and both times I could have dipped and that would have been that. There was no traffic and I was busted for going no more than 17 over the limit. It's a pain in the ass any way you look at it and BS when you're not really doing anything to hurt anyone else. I would like to see how far a cop is willing to go to catch up to a 155hp motorcycle just because they were speeding. Two cruisers would not make any difference if you would have ran and would have made it even more dangerous since now there would be three vehicles on the road hitting triple digits instead of just one motorcycle. All just because of speed. If you own a supersport and spend more time on the streets than on a track, you will end up speeding unless you like taking corners like a Harley. It's just the nature of riding sportbikes. What you do when you encounter an enforcer of our ridiculous speeding laws is your own business but know the risks and act accordingly. Everyone says to just pull over and take it but when you own a liter-bike, that's almost an unnatural reaction. Yes, I sometimes wish I would have just cracked open the throttle when I got those tickets. Was pulling over safer? Of course. Will I continue to speed? Yes indeed but more cautiously...

I commute on the bike, but not all the time. I work till late at night, so that adds some danger (deer & drunks), so I'm hypervigilant. I have an 80 mile round trip commute, so it's nice when the weather's good or I'm feeling it....when it gets shitty out, not so much. I try never to ride when I'm feeling shitty. I avoid heavy traffic as best I can....it's where I have the least amount of control and I generally don't enjoy riding when I'm in it. Being ass-end charlie at a stopped light is especially worrisome, so I installed hyperlite brake LED's and tend to sit off of the side of the car in front of me and watch my six. Don't get complacent there...it's REAL easy for some dipshit to roll up and not see you...crushing you as you sit idling. I'll even lane split if it's possible...don't much care about the law on that, I'd rather be safe than avoid a small ticket. Also, when approaching a car turning left in front of you or about to, or one maybe pulling out into your lane, wiggle back and forth in your lane - side to side. This movement is unnatural in traffic and breaks up your profile....a single point of light/motion coming at a motorist can appear to be the wrong distance or even disappear if you're lined up with traffic just right. Wiggling in your lane will make you MUCH more visible. This is a very effective tactic that few people teach or practice but can save your life. If you doubt it, have someone do it coming at you on a bike and see what I mean...it jumps out at you.

Another update I was hanging on to... Thursdays update. We mainly blocked out blemishes in the first layering of primer. And did a number on the right side of the compartment. There use to be a hole over there for the windshield solvent. He has put allot of effort into the car, He is doing things most won't and he take good care of it. While it is not your's (or my) style you should respect him as a fellow car guy not to call it fucking stupid. Hell we didn't say shit to you when you rocked those enkei wheels forever.
