Hello everyone,
My name is Mike and I'm a Engineering student at OSU and I do a lot of track driving in my free time. I currently drive a granny gold 2001 VW Gti VR6 with moderate upgrades. It's a pig in a straight line (did a 16.232 at National Trail last year) but it holds up fairly well in the corners (1:55 at Mid Ohio) and with some proper tires im hoping to see a spec Miata type time. It is a stock motor with 185k, some moderate suspension upgrades from the .:R32 and I just installed upgraded big brake OEM brakes all round this past week. About 3 months ago I was the owner of a 2003 Mini Cooper S as well, but after a trip to Putnam Park and some long road trips, I decided it wasn't for me. I was recommended to this site by user 'greg'. I met him at one of the PCA Mid ohio events and have done some other events with him in his teg and one Chumpcar event. I'm hoping to see what the Columbus community has to offer and see what I can contribute.
Here are some pics of my car(s)

Howdy ya'll. Thought I would take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Bruce and I am from the Charleston, WV area and I am 38 years old. I have been riding motorcycles since I was 5 years old however I have only been riding street bikes since I was 26. I started on cruisers then switched to sport bikes when I was around 30 years old. I took a couple of years off due to knee surgeries and I have been back into it for around a year now. I am hooked on the sport / hobby more now than ever. I have never done a track day but I plan on changing that soon. I hope to do at least one a month starting in April. I made a couple of trips to the Tail of the Dragon in 2013 and while there I decided that I really want to get better and the only "safe" way that I know to do that is at a track. Anyway, most forums I am on appreciate pictures so here they are, my two bikes. Track bike - 2004 CBR600RR Street bike - 2013 ZX6R
Based on that interaction with State Farm your only choice is take the $7500 and stfu or get a lawyer and pursue the $7500 plus the $2800 plus lawyer fees. I'm willing to bet after working with an Insurance companies in house console that you'll have less than $7500 if you fight it too hard and that is what State Farm is banking on you figuring out and saying forget it and accepting the $7500
Just. Get. A. Lawyer. The consult will be nothing compared to all the time you waste and the potential money you gain/save by not being ill informed and going on info from a bunch of dudes who will claim they ANAL
Don't know that I would bother, I don't own any but I am suspicious. Their website has sale ads that are 2 months out of date and their Facebook page hasn't been updated since November. Lots of poor reviews on their FB page also. Seems like it's a buyer beware situation to me.
I am stlll a Honda guy, but on some of the new bikes lately, I dont know what the hell the styling guys are thinking. Look at the VFR1200, the DN1, the new Valkyrie, the CTX1300, the CTX700. They are all in competition for the fugliest motorcycle on the planet. These bikes are probly functionaly excellent, but gawd, please dont make me have to look at one.
I have a CDL and lived in TN for 10 years...I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just playing devils advocate. With the love (sarcastic) by the majority for LEO's, rules, and law on this board. I see this as odd...But I also realize this is a 2 wheel forum. So if they happen to put more THP on the road to enforce this law (we like) and they happen to bust more riders for speeding, equipment inspection stops (2 wheel only) and improper lane usage?...Carefull what you ask for.... So would this ban only be during riding season? Several times a year they should close it off like Pikes Peak and do times trials. That would bring in a lot of dollars. Just shooting the shit, not trying to stir it.
I personally support banning trucks over a certain length on ANY road where by they cannot travel it within their own lane AND said road has a certain amount of normal traffic traveling on it.
